Last month, I had this day where I felt so good that I actually decided to launch the so-called rebranding of my blog earlier than expected. I actually spent that day going around some of the tourist spots in Busay. Busay is a mountainous part of Cebu, where it's gaining popularity for the beautiful flower gardens. One of the famous flower parks was Sirao, and it was the first stop of this little tour.
Sirao Garden, more popularly referred to as the Little Amsterdam of Cebu, is a 30-minute drive from the city proper. The vast garden sits on the side of a hill, filled with a variety of flower beds. It's such a perfect spot for people who like nature, as it also gives a relaxing view of the mountains.
Entrance Fee: Php 100

Next stop was Terrazas de Flores.
Terrazas de Flores is another one of the popular gardens in Busay. This garden offers a place to relax, while you sip a cup of coffee in their little cafe among the terraces of flower beds. The Terrazas was actually built by a father who wanted to show the amount of love he has for his children through the wide array of flower species seen in the garden.
Entrance fee: Php 100 (Php 40 of which can be used to purchase anything in the cafe)
The last stop for this trip is La Vie in Sky.
La Vie in the Sky is a newly built restaurant that offers an excellent view of the city. It is an extension of the famous La Vie Parisienne. As the name suggests, the restaurant offers mainly French cuisine. However, it does have other options, like Japanese and Italian food on its menu. It is a great location if you want to wind down with a glass of wine and some snacks.
Entrance fee: No entrance fee, but food ranges from Php 200-300 per person.

As mentioned in the earlier part of the entry, this trip has been so good for a variety of reasons. If you have read this entry you would know that the past few months have been shaky for me. This little trip made me realize about the progress I was doing already and that I did feel genuinely happy for the first time in a while.
I actually spent this day with one of my close friends in college, who was somewhat have gone through the same thing I was experiencing. Even though we started out late, we were able to find good spots in places we've been to. The weather was absolutely perfect too, seeing that it had been raining days prior to the trip. It was just such a good time as we talked about anything under the sun. We were actually together more than a half day, but we never ran out of things to discuss. We also spent the majority of the time trying to motivate each other and talking about the good things in life.
It might not sound as exciting for some people, but I thrive for these kinds of conversations lately. I feel inspired and sparked that joy that I haven't felt for quite some time. It was also reflective, as well, on how it was such a good time on our photos.
It reminded me again why I like to travel and explore new places. But what makes it more enjoyable is to be surrounded by like-minded people that spread positive vibes!
Also, there might be days that are tough... but there are also good days. Appreciate when you've had it. 🌼✨
